Individual & Relay Events

INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: (Girls will compete against their own grade level)

Obstacle Course: Begins with a five-yard run, then dribbling a soccer ball around three cones, then hopping through five small inner tubes, then running across a balance beam with a tennis ball tucked under your neck, followed by crawling through a PVC tunnel, and finishing with both feet in a sack, jumping to the finish line. This is a timed event.

Soccer Dribble: Foot dribble a soccer ball around a series of five cones, in a figure “S” formation 25 yards and back to the finish line. This is a timed event.

Softball Throw: Throw a baseball size, softball for distance. Four throws per girl.

50 Yard Dash: 50 yard run, straight away to finish line. Stay in lanes. This is a timed event.

AWARDS: Medals with stars will be awarded in each Individual Event for 1st through 7th places, in grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Repeat winners will be given an additional star.

RELAY EVENTS: (Girls will compete against their own division)

Hop, Skip, Jump & Run Relay: Four girls per team. The divisions are by grade levels. Girl #1 hops on one leg 20 yards (can switch legs once), passes a baton to girl #2 who skips 20 yards back, and passes the baton to girl #3 who jumps with both feet together 20 yards, and passes the baton to girl #4 who runs 20 yards back to the finish line. This is a timed event.

Inner Tube Relay: Four girls per team. The divisions are by grade levels. Girl #1 rolls a large inner tube 20 yards and crosses the exchange line, then girl #2 rolls the tube back to the start/finish line, where girl #3 rolls it back to the exchange line, where girl #4 rolls the inner tube to the finish line. This is a timed event.

Sack Relay: Four girls per team. The divisions are by grade levels. One sack per team. Shoes on. Girl #1 starts with both legs in a gunnysack, jumps 15 yards to the exchange line, exits the sack, then girl #2 puts both feet into the sack and jumps back to the start/finish line. She exits the sack and girl #3 puts both feet into the sack and jumps to the exchange line, exits the sack, then girl #4 enters the sack and jumps to the finish line. This is a timed event. (Only girls on the team can help exchange their sack.)

200 Yard Dash Relay: Four girls per team. The divisions are by grade levels. Each girl runs 50 yards and exchanges a baton to a teammate. This is a timed event.

AWARDS: Medals with stars will be awarded to those girls on teams in the Relay Events that place 1st through 5th in one of the three divisions. Repeat winners will be given an additional star.
